Position Description: Manager – Accounting & Compliance Services
Start date: Immediate
Position: Full-Time
Location: Kew, VIC 3101
Remuneration: $85,000 to $100,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

– Business and advisory services

– Other business services
Proposed Duties
• A newly created role reporting directly to the Partners to assist the management and support of the firm’s largest service offering
• Key person responsible for a team of 4 direct reports (3 x qualified accountants) and a client service officer, including mentoring and coaching, goal setting and assistance with their performance reviews
• Key contact for some of our clients to build and maintain client relationships
• Review of workpapers, workflows and client deliverables prior to Partner review and passing clients
• Assisting clients with updating client’s accounting processes to current technology (cloud-based) accounting systems
• Integration of client accounting systems with our internal cloud-based financial statements, tax returns and electronic workpapers software
• Manage client WIP, invoicing, staff allocation and job budgeting
• Documenting an end-to-end formal process, and implementing improvement projects
Minimum experience and skills you will have demonstrated in previous roles
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, proven experience in servicing clients and supervising staff
• Previous experience in managing teams and mentoring juniors
• 4+ years of experience working in the accounting and taxation industry. Solid knowledge of accounting standards. principals, and accounting software. Solid knowledge of the Australian tax legislation
• Current CPA/CAANZ qualification
